Lisa Woolfork is a scholar, sewist, community organizer, and podcaster. She is the founder of Black Women Stitch, the sewing group where Black Lives Matter and host of Stitch Please audio show. Stitch Please centers Black women, girls, and femmes in sewing while promoting the principles of Black liberation, radical self love, and social justice.
Lisa shares about her inspiration and her experience protesting against hundreds of white nationalists who converged on Charlottesville, Virginia to protest the removal of a Confederate monument in 2017.
